Friends of Peary's Eagle Island
2024 Update: With no dock or moorings, access is by small craft able to pull up on the beach.
The house/museum remains closed.
Trails will open 7/15/24.
The songs below are from the pianola rolls that belong to Eagle Island. They once accompanied Admiral Peary on the US Roosevelt, the ship that Peary motored to Northern Greenland. The pianola was modified due to space limitations on board the ship and is therefore missing the top octave. It was returned to Eagle Island in 2009 from Vancouver, Canada by Bert Peary III Admiral Peary's grandson. To hear how the pianola returned to Eagle Island click on the link below.
